I had married Matthias Runner (adopted, skin 4, black hair) to Tosha Go (townie, skin 1 or 2, blonde). Sometimes recessives are powerful stuff though. It had managed to be passed along, always recessive, until I married a red-haired sim to the 'right' one in order to get the recessives to turn up.

She proceeded to have two children, both with blond hair, and it took me searching the family tree to find where it had come from until I remembered that I made the children's great-great grandfather with a blond recessive. I once 'seeded' a couple where one had a blond recessive gene three generations after marrying in nothing but black and brown haired sims, I married in a sim with red hair. When I made sims in CAS, sometimes I make their parents to seed them with recessive genetics: so long as you don't change the hair or eye colour while you're making them, they'll keep those recessives and be able to pass them along to a younger generation. If your sim has light blue eyes instead of dark, then you can add in green eyes to the combo mix and if the blond father has grey eyes recessive you can add those in, too. The genetic combos you could get from them are black hair/alien eyes, brown hair/alien eyes, black hair/blue eyes, brown hair/blue eyes. Your brown-haired sim had black hair recessive, and (dark?) blue eyes recessive (your blond-haired sim could have had light blue or grey eyes recessive, or simply be homozygous for blond hair/green eyes). Black and brown are equi-dominant, as are red and blond (for eyes, brown, dark blue, and alien eyes are equi-dominant light blue, green and grey are equi-dominant). Gcgb53191, technically your sim only needed one black hair gene, unless you have a mod which makes all hair colours equal.
